This breathtaking double aspect luxury master bedroom overlooking the gardens is a delight to retire to after walking in the dales. The ensuite bathroom has a travertine-tiled walk in shower and a stand alone roll-top bath from where you can enjoy the views of the rolling hills and countryside. There is also a single day bed for flexible sleeping arrangements.
My stay at Darley House for a long weekend was utterly lovely! It felt as though I had been whisked off to a smart, exclusive hotel… The big double bed was divine and attention to detail was foremost while also being relaxed and homely.
From Dovedale look out over Normanshurst Farm, with the steam railway in the valley beyond and the 'tooth brush' trees at Oaker on the horizon.

This grand and spacious master bedroom with its four poster bed overlooks the garden. It has a stunning ensuite bathroom with a stand alone bath, walk in shower, double basins, toilet and bidet with tavertine tiling.

The stone lintel of the original fire place opening is exposed in the bedroom and, in the ensuite shower room it offers a useful alcove for shelving. A double bed and single day mean this rooms sleeps 2 – 3 people. The exquisite yellow-tinted leaves of the gingko biloba tree brighten this room in late summer.

This spacious room with a beautiful, restored double cornice looks out across the hills. The twin beds can be zipped together to create a seamless super-kingsize bed. Monsal bedroom, the Castleton bunk room and the separate shower room are at one end of the house and make an ideal family suite.

Cressbrook is a pretty and bright twin room with views of the gardens.
Castleton is a twin bunk bed room which sleeps four. Ideal and fun for children to share.
